iOS 4, Math exam tomorrow OTL

So iOS 4 came out today :D and of course I went and installed it~ Iunno, I have mixed feelings about it actually... It's pretty nice for the most part, smooth fluid animations and stuff. I also managed to crash it within 2 hours :) Updating also forced me to unjailbreak, and lose all my pirated apps booohoo :(

So today, 1/2 of my group decided that we should have a meeting to discuss about research and whatnot... I think... But the only really productive things we did are:

1. Sign out a few books on the Darfur genocide
2. Propose the next meeting, which will include all of the group members

The rest if the time, Vicky was either reading manga, on tinier/Youtube, or with Evan and Nathan... And you know what happens if they're all together like that =/

Essentially we could have done this without meeting at all.

Ughh it was school today D': It sucked, as usual.

Today we were supposed to pick a topic for the science t-shirt assignment thing, uhh.. we failed x3 So we need a topic sent to Ms Webb via email soon~

Also today, I went with my friend, again, to the DriveTest centre and we ALMOST got in but then they ran out of time... So we either have to go back Wednesday or NEXT Monday... OTL

Today was also a particularly sleepy day for me, what was supposed to be a 20 minute nap turned into a 3-hour-long sleep <3~

DriveTest Centre Faillllll

So today I went with my mom, sister and friend to the DriveTest Centre in Aurora. It was a 30-ish minutes drive, so it wasn't that bad~ But when we got there... I saw this HUGE CROWD outside of the place and I was like, "Oh, it's probably just a long lineup...". So we walked up to the place and my mom went in to register us for the G1 test. She comes back out with a lady from the DriveTest Centre, and they're like "We stopped taking in new people for the G1 test at around 1 o'clock"
Reaction: ". . ."
and she was like "If you want to take the test tomorrow, there are 3 locations that are open tomorrow: Brampton, Port Union..." and some other location I don't remember...

So yeah, no license for me yet... I might be going back on Wednesday after school again, since they close at 5.


Today also, I am changing my abstaining..ation (word fail?) from just Youtube to also covering macrumors.com. (Since allkpop is SO IMPORTANT, Youtube feels too easy).

It'll be difficult... Oh well~

LIFE 4 LIFE!

TC was SO COOL~! <33 TEAM LIFE 4 LIFE~! <33333

This year, I think the 2 highlights of Senior TC 2010 for me were...

1. Day 2, Interactions 3: Uhh, this stood out to me mainly because this was the time when the team coaches shared their testimonies (and Olivia). Sam's (name? @.@) testimony stood out to me the most I think, not because he was a Pastor-in-training, but because, uhh.. Well, see, I've always been one of those people who have always wanted one of those "180˚ turnaround and follow God" kind of testimonies, but as of right now, I have yet to see that happen, which I now realize, could be a blessing in itself. He basically told us that he had a friend that had one of these "180˚ turnaround" testimonies, and that his friend was one the very lucky few that actually make the turnaround, instead of ending up on the 6 o'clock news, dead. He showed us that there are so many miracles in our lives, big or small, that are so commonly overlooked; like, even something that we all take for granted as a right: being born alive; he made me realize that being born is not a right, it is a blessing. Even in our modern developed nation (ie. Canada), there are babies that are born dead, ones that do not make it alive to this world, and have to be buried in that state. He also showed us that a testimony doesn't have to be super-extravegant, as long as it is something that God has done in your life, you are testifying, and it can be a testimony. (Wording fail? Sorry, kinda tired)

2. Day 2, Final worship / program: This was definitely the best moment of TC2010 I think. When the girl (forget her name) went up and read the little poem that she had written, I cried. It was simple, short, yet so powerful. Then came worship. Worship on day 2 is almost always better than worship on day 1. Hosanna and Reign in Us were probably the two songs that really pushed this time (if that makes sense). But during worship you could feel the energy, the power that was moving through the sanctuary, the sounds of hundreds of people together praising the Lord... It's really amazing...

Today I packed my old phone away back into its original packaging, and returned it to its (final?) resting place in my drawer.

"The W580i was a friend to us all. He worked tirelessly on our behalf, always hosting our messages, never refusing a command, always at our beckoned call. (Except occasionally when he forgot who he was and needed to be restarted.) The W580i came to my world in September of 2008, for a price of $50... We are here today to mourn the passing of the W580i. He's now in that great electronics section of my drawer, undoubtedly looking up patiently, waiting to be powered on once again. The W580i is succeeded by my next phone, the LG Pop. Please join me in a moment of silence as we remember our old friend, W580i.

But anyways~ It's also the first time in a looong time where I can sleep in! 8D Well, except Monday, I hear we're going on a trip or something... We'll see~

But for now, I think we all need a well-deserved rest period before we get pulled back into the fast-paced stream of school and school work and the like. (SUMMATIVE OTL)

Today during pilates we had this relaxation thing, and our instructor turned off the lights and we all lied down on the floor with mats and blankets... I actually fell asleep and stayed about half an hour later than everyone else LOL. Still, it was a good nap (apparently I snored). But any time that I had made up there can't fill this new sleep debt hole I'm digging right now :/. So now I am going to go to sleep then~

Vancouver 2010 Olympics Opening Ceremony!

Yes, it is late, but the Olympics are totally cool enough to blog about despite it being 3:30 in the morning.

Today was (obviously) the start of the 2010 Winter Olympics~ It took much longer than it was supposed to, since it seemed to cut into the CTV news time... But meh~ It was really cool tho >u< I think I spent a lot of time trying to find where they put the projector(s) for all the cloth o_o" The end failed a bit, when the hydraulic system that was supposed to raise the "ice" out of the ground didn't work properly and only 4 of the 5 pieces came out... FAIL. It was also a bit sad as well, with the death of Nodar Kumaritashvili just hours before the opening ceremony... :(

In other news, the fashion designer that I did for my fashion designer project a while ago just died on the 11th o_o-----

Ok...

Ok... time to sleep now, I guess... >.> Chinese exam tomorrow yay! OTL

Today the Apple iPad was released! ^-^ It's really cool~ xDD and it runs at 1 GHz o_O

Math exam today was SO HARD and SO LONG OTL.
We were taking the 85 back, and people were getting on the bus and walking down the aisle. Suddenly Roland just JUMPS up and he yelled "OH CRAP!". The guy in front of him jumped and proceeded to speedwalk down the aisle to the back of the bus LOLL

Tomorrow Comsci exam (EASY) and Food exam (little harder, actually). I'm worrying a little bit about the food exam, because I was (trying to) studying and I didn't know a lot of the stuff on the review sheet... Time to study tomorrow during the break and/or during the bus ride to school... -sigh-

It's also late now, and I'm going to go to sleep now~

Are you like me and hate Flash player because it's sucky? :P Flash is probably going to be killed in the future for youtube, as Youtube rolls out HTML5 video that doesn't use Flash to play it. It's less hoggy on system resources and keeps my computer cool and unstressed~ :3 Try it!

Today I actually went and bought legitimate music. For what? For a good cause, of course! Hope for Haiti Now is a relatively large album with 20 songs from many different artists. It is cheaper than all the other albums on iTunes actually, being $7.99 instead of $9.99.

I don't think I've ever really bought legit music except for this time.

Mmhmmm~ I'm 16 now ^-^ Time to be a menace to society by driving bad now 8D Chloe and Ching say they are both going to nominate me for Canada's Worst Driver D8. My driving won't be that bad~~ Maybe I'll inherit my mom's excellent driving skills :3

Today I also found out that Namco will be releasing Taiko for the iPhone / iPod Touch! 

I was kinda like "Oh finally!" when I saw it xD I hope it will be available in the Canada store, unlike the Sparknotes app for Shakespeare, which is only available in the US store OTL


Tomorrow is (Well today) going to be the first exam of 2010, the first exam of Grade 10. It feels more stressful this year, not sure why... o_O

Anyways, I'm going to go to sleep now, so I can actually stay awake during the exam tomorrow and not fall asleep ><

Hello again world :) This blog is receiving a little more TLC that it was previously which is good ^-^

Today we had a history test... OTL Lack of sufficient studying ftl... It wasn't actually that bad though, it was mainly multiple choice, with a little matching section. Contrary to the rumours that were going around, there was no fill-in-the-blanks section (Yay!)

Today I also got a new domain name for my blog~ ^-^ mattyu007.tk is now officially the same as mattyu007.blogspot.com~ 8D Someone stole matty.tk tho D8< Totally not cool

In other news, my mom bought us an HD box a few days ago 8D

Cow Eyes! Google Wave!

Wooo it's been a long time since this blog has seen any activity, so I guess I need to do something about that aah? xDD

Anyways, today in science class we did COW EYE DISSECTION!! It was totally the cool. (and glasses...LOL EYE.. GLASSES LOLLL). The jelly part of the inside of the eye seemed quite fun for Roland to take out loll. It looked a little awkward tho, he basically stuck his finger into the open end of the eye and displaced out all of the jelly inside the eye. It smelled. Really bad. >< But nevertheless it was still really cool. The back of the eye is actually all rainbowey and spectrumey~ and the blind spot is actually a spot on the eye o_O

Today I also played with Google Wave to "study" COUGHCOUGHJAPANESECONVOCOUGHCOUGH >.> It's actually pretty cool~ So far, I'd say that it's better than iWork.com actually o_O Except that the comments on iwork.com are totally cool and awesome and the like~ ^-^ and iWork.com feels more refined and bug-free than Google Wave does. Nevertheless, I think Google Wave looks quite promising. Maybe when they start to offer file downloading and other nice things that iWork.com has~~ ^-^
